Hello, My name is Rances Vasquez and I am trying to present an idea of a non-profit organization to help the less fortunate people find a safe place to come together. This is a worldwide problem that can be seen anywhere, especially in low-income places, there are hundreds to thousands of homeless and disabled people with nowhere to go. In the Bronx from a young age, I would see people sleeping on the streets and asking for money for something to eat and most of the time I would feel guilty that I couldn’t help these people. There are other times when they are kicked out of stores because of how they look and are not given the same treatment other people receive. when usually when you see a group of homeless people come together, they are usually kicked out because they are seen as a disturbance. These people are usually ignored, and treated inhumanely because of instances beyond their control or mistakes they have done in the past. We will make sure to provide everyone shelter, feeding, and distribution of their basic needs, but most importantly we will provide them with a space where they can come together and interact with each other without being judged by the people around them. The team is only me as of right now but anyone who would like to volunteer and is willing to help make a change will be open to joining.
