In our last module, we will be discussing MLK’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail”, which asks the question: should the law be always followed, and are there times, when it must be disobeyed? This was the fundamental question MLK was confronting in attempting to confront the power of racial segregation and its enabling by the segregationist laws of the time, which clearly violated civil and political rights, as understood by the Constitution:
