Summary
What did the Supreme Court decide in the Wal-Mart case? And more importantly, how did it justify its decision? (HINT: the key word here is “commonality” (and how it related to “class-action lawsuit”). Try to understand what this legal terms means, as it is key to the court’s decision).
First I would like to define what is "commonality", commonality is the state of sharing futures or attributes, Also I would like to define "class action lawsuits", class action lawsuit is a civil law where a group of people are represented by one or more plaintiffs. During this case The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Walmart by considering that the business should not be held accountable because Walmart has different managers running each company and they should not be responsible for the decisions for each individual and difference manager place in each Walmart. So the 1.5 million women could not Sue Walmart for gender discrimination.
