Summary
1.What concept that we have already discussed does “faction” remind you of?
well if iam understanding this correctly "Faction" reminedds me of social class belonging to a particular group.
2.According to Federalist #10 (written by James Madison), what is the source of wealth (private property)? What factor explains why some people get to possess wealth by owning private property, and others don’t (thus remaining poor)? This is a key question, because it shows how the authors of the Constitution thought about the difference between different classes of Americans! HINT: focus on the passage that begins: “The diversity in the faculties (WHAT DOES FACULTIES mean or refer to?) of men, from which the rights of property originate, is not les….”
to answer this question i will define faculties or what i believe it means, when the article is mentions faculties it refers to the ability of the right of men and there properties. - The source of wealth is the protection of there property. - Some people get to own privite propery beacuse of the facultie they belong to and other remain pooor beacuse of the sme reason.
3.Do you agree with this explanation of wealth and poverty?
I do agree with it beacuse it does make sence, beacuse if you belong to a faculies that is a particuler group then it will set you up for the particuler group your belong to wether that be weathy or poverty.
4.What is the core mission (“first object”) of the US government? Does this surprise you, does it sound different from what our society today seems to suggest the core mission of the government is? Explain.
The core mission is once again a group of people, and their mission is to protect their own faculties. It does not surpice me beacuse the U.S government will always try to win presedency by winning the votes of small group so thy say anthing that is pleasing to ther group in what willl benifit them and advertise that, even thought it might not be true.and we can see that even today with the 2024 election.
5.Given the discussion in questions 1-4, are you surprised that Federalist #10 is not in favor of democracy, and supports a Republican (representative) form of government? Why would d the author dislike a (pure) democratic form of government? Hint: think about how this question connects with the social classes…
I am a liitle surpised beacuse democracy is more helpfull to the faculties and hearing each grooup out, but at the same time it is undertandable that by listing to these small groups a lot of things can go wrong beacause the groups dont hting about the country as a whole they just thing about them selvves. That is whyh i belive in my opinoin, the constititution was writen by the wealthy people in America beacue in a way thye did think about the nation aas a whole. and the poor class thinks more about what the rich can do for them.
