1)According to MLK an unjust law is a law that degrades a person personality it’s also a law that only affects one set of people but doesn’t affect others. while a just law is a law that lifts a person’s personality up.
2)From my point of view I do believe that this is an important distinction between just and unjust because when you have laws that treat people unfairly it will make a person feel really low and it devalues them as to what about them will make someone treat them this way. while just laws will see them as equally to another person who committed the same crime. it’s important for the way people live their lives as well because a race of people who are usually targeted have to live in fear that they will not get treated correctly. I believe the only way it will affect our politics is that now they cannot see race as a factor to degrade a person and they are forced to treat everyone with the same respect.
3) An unjust law is when you live in a rent control apartment and the landlord tells you cannot use certain color paints. This is unjust because most apartments that’s rent is high you can do paint whatever color you like however most people who live in rent control apartments are those who are low income and minority so it’s like your trying tell them they cannot basically express themselves in a place they are paying for. A just law is you must be 21 to drink. I think this is just because the age is across the board for everyone and not just 21 for some and another age for another set of people even though a lot of people have taken drinks before that age.
