Our chapter chose Theme 6, “Nostalgia as Play,” for our project. We were interested specifically in the question of how therapeutic recreation could address and relieve trauma.
After deciding on the theme “Visions of Justice” as a chapter, we invited individual chapter members to share questions related to the theme with which they grappled personally. The query that resonated the most with our chapter was, “Is Political Correctness a ‘Band-Aid’ for Justice?”
Members of the chapter investigated what constituted an Honors program at fellow CUNY colleges, as well as institutions beyond CUNY.
