The Oral Histories of the Caribbean Diaspora is a collection of work by Spanish-seminar students in the Modern Languages Department at Borough of Manhattan Community College. The project began with the 30 students in SPN472: History, Literature, and Culture of the Greater Antilles course with Dr. Laurie Lomask in Spring 2018. We hope that through these interviews, photos, and stories, we can give voice to the rich diversity of Caribbean heritage in the greater New York area, make connections between cultures, and reimagine the way we identify with land and space.
