Some OER/ZTC Resources

Hi afternoon folks, thanks so much for your contributions of which OER/ZTC materials you are already using in your classes.

To reiterate, we of course have the Open Educational Resources OpenLab site, which has a selection of OER organized by subject, as well as a pretty great list of open and zero-cost multimedia, including images and video.

On the subject of multimedia, be sure to check out Rachael Nevin’s OER on Pressbooks, Finding and Using Openly Licensed Images: A Quick Guide for Students.

Deniz and Berenice have brought up the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which have been used as the basis for a number of ZTC discussions and assignments. We will likely be sharing some open assignments and syllabi that utilize the SDGs later on, to hopefully provide some inspiration.

Thanks to Michael for sharing with us the NYPL Billy Rose Theatre Division, whose website has some wonderful digital resources that are free to access (though technically not OER). Michael also linked to a textbook on the Open Textbook Library, which is amazing and extensive resource for finding OER textbook substitutes across a wide variety of subjects.

See you all next week!
