BMCC’s library has a guide on copyright and fair use, part of which jean walked us through today. There is also a similar guide for CUNY overall. It didn’t come up in our conversation, but do note (as CUNY’s guide reminded me!) that students also own the copyright to their academic works.
The fair use checklist and contextual information on the checklist is also posted with the Week 3 activities; here it is again among these other resources.
Finally, I am taking a Creative Commons Certificate course this summer, and I’m blogging and podcasting about what I learn as I go. You may find the site useful—the next podcast will be about copyright. The site is my current contribution to the commons!
