CREATE ACCOUNTS
We use a lot of accounts in this class. It might seem like a lot at first, but each account gives you access to another tool or information resource that will help you along the way. Also, juggling different accounts and sees to do different tasks is part of the modern work environment.
Here are some of them to get started:
- Join our class on the OpenLab:
- First make sure you are signed in to the OpenLab. If you don’t have an account then Sign up.
- Go to our Class Profile
- Click the Join button
- Make sure you can access Zoom
- Make sure you can access Blackboard
- Join our Discord Server. The access information is available on Blackboard. (download the app to phone or computer)
- Create a Quizlet account (and download the app to your phone if you have one).
READ THE SYLLABUS
This will be vitally important as the class moves on as it will be how you make the web sites that are the Portfolio and Group projects. It can take a while (hours, sometimes spread out over days) and you may hit a roadblock, but keep at it and ask questions if you run into trouble.
