Introduction to Video Game Design
So far for my story, the main character is supposed to be the savior of their cursed village but I have to come up with more details about that. I tried to incorporate my own sense of humor into it as well, it’s supposed to be a lighthearted and funny in a way.
The concept for my story began with the idea of this lush garden, a manor and a well (the well will come later). I began by laying out the setting and giving the “character” a reason for coming to this place. In this case, the loss of someone, perhaps a parent, this results in living with another family member. But sometimes those family members may not necessarily want you there and might not even be the best people to go live with.
This was my first time using twine, the idea of the program was centered around “choose your own adventure” stories so I decided to use a dungeons and dragons theme with the choices and the setting. After making a couple branches and splits in the path of the story I started getting brain fog.
It is not done but this is what I got so far 😀
Its about you starting out your day, its all starting a day and going through it, every choice affects you including if you stay in bed all day or get up to start your day.
This is inspired by Life is strange
I created an avatar of a sassy baby bird because I wanted to play around with shading using pixels and the idea is inspired by a character I want to involve in my manga when I do create it.
This character is from my dream which I remembered and turned into a short story. While she might appear a bit scary, almost like a vampire, in reality, she is one of the sweetest characters.
My avatar is an alter ego or self-portrait of me as I also aimed for modern grunge-style features on his appearance.
The design here is my maschot for the game I wish to make in the future. His name is Orchid and he’s based off the flower! Character wise hes based off characters such as Moondrop/Sundrop, Baldi and Huggy Wuggy in poppys playtime
I chose to this avatar because it reminds me of avatar the last air bender and its a evil spirit character from one of the new books
