Unreal Project Demo

Added a shiba inu to the game that has physics. Get to the end of the rooms to get him. I was going to add some narration to create a story and atmosphere but couldnt figure out how to make it work. Maybe later I will add on to this project and make the story as silly as my bitsy project but for now once you get to the shiba you “win”.

Unreal Project progress

I spent some time creating some simple rooms for the player to explore as well as some obstacles.

Don’t really have any particular direction with this game. Mostly just experimenting!

Godot Game First Steps

I set up the player sprite and first couple of assets for my first game in Godot. I didn’t really have an idea on what to go for or what game to make, so I just drew something at random on Piskel. I knew I wanted to maybe add multiple possible avatars for the player to choose from, so I wanted to make a simple base that I can draw different faces over. I ended up drawing a bubble. I drew some flowers for decoration and a coin to maybe be used as an item later.

This is a recording of what I have so far.

Bitsy Game: Updog Quest

My game is pretty much done. I added a lot and changed a few things from the original.

First I added new characters and changed some sprites! Introducing:

Mouse, Cat, and Dog

Mouse is the person you play. I thought it would be better if the player character was an animal as well. I even added more rooms and changed up Cat’s room. Now each person involved in the story has their own unique room.

Cat’s New room

Added:

-door

-bed

-creeper head

– water motion

-Hay Blockade

Mountain of Cheese

I also added a map that you can visit during the story. I might make some tweaks here and there since I didn’t include any sound design. But I am pretty much done with the game. If you decided to play it I hope you enjoy!

Updog Quest

Bitsy Game Concept

I decided to go with a story about a cat that needs help thinking.
They have been deceived by someone and only you can help them realize the truth.

I wanted to create an obstacle in order for you to get the tea to help them. My first idea is to have the item you need surrounded by hay that you can cut through with scissors. Doesn’t seem Bitsy has an easy way to code that though, so I will keep that in mind while i try a new design.

I added animations to the cat and player avatar. I thought having them blink would be cool. I’m not much of an artist though. Might come up with something else later. The game is called Updog Quest.

Twine Game Concept: The Cold Part 2

Added some flags that change text based off the player choice. It doesn’t do much but add flavoring and lets you interact with things. It was fun figuring out how to make everything work. I hope we can do more things like this.

Added a way for the player to naturally progress pass the door.

Twine Game Concept: The Cold

This is a game made from a first person narrative. You start out is a dark forest and it is raining. You are Cold and you see a cabin ahead. The goal is to explore the cabin and figure out how to become Warm. There are going to be 3 endings the user can get. Here is the progress so far.

Piskel Avatar

I made a Piskel avatar kinda on the fly. I started off with a face and thought it looked sad, so i gave it tears and blush. I made it a bear because I like them and I thought it looked cute.
