Unreal Progress 2

Here is my progress on my Unreal Engine project. I’ve added a narrow hallway as the start point, changed some textures, and added some models. I plan to add a roof and perhaps some robots to add to the sci-fi ambiance.

Unreal Progress

This is my current progress in Unreal Engine. I expanded the room and added some textures. I’m thinking of leaving the gun to make it a first person shooter. I think I want to give it a sci-fi/space station vibe.

Godot progress

This is the progress on my game so far. I’ve added more platforms, a collectable item that is cheese and audio. I have plans to add a moving obstacle and maybe at least one more level. I’m taking inspiration from games like Mario and Sonic makes but also taking character inspiration from Pokémon.

These are my sprites for the tiles.

Here is a short clip of my progress. I’ve added my background and platforms and my player has a jump animation.

Godot progress

So far I have created my player and two types of trees. I’ve set up the idle and walk animations and I even tried to do the jump. I was unsuccessful though. I’ve also set up the camera. My player character is a shrew. I based its design off Pokémon and even used a color palette similar to Lucario as inspiration.

Bitsy Final

My first Bitsy game is complete and running on itch.io. The story is that you are child dressed up as a robot for Halloween and you need to collect the pieces of candy around town before the costume part starts at the haunted house. I understand some people might find the game very easy but I designed it with the idea that it would be simple enough that kids even as young as 5 years old could try to play it and be exposing them to that 8-bit style game.

Trick or Treat

In my game, I’ve added more candy, rooms, more characters to interact with, and a locked door.

This is Halloween

Taking inspiration from a game from my childhood called Cartoon Network’s Trick or Treat beat! and in the season of Halloween. I’m working on creating a trick or treat game in Bitsy. You are a child dressed as a robot for Halloween and you need to go around town collecting pieces of candy.
