Obstacles and Enemies

I created a toxic pipe obstacle and chemtank bad guy that is in a suit with purple liquid filling the helmet and when the character dies the purple liquid spills out onto the floor as they fall over, I created frames for my static obstacle too but it gave me some problems when trying to put in an animated sprite instead, another issue I’m trying to figure out is why my enemy seems to be moving backwards when they start to move.

NPC ART

I made a friend for the main character of my game. Her name is

Mish! And she’s an adorable robot like J.R.

My Scenery – Kathleen

For my scenery, I kept it simple and cute. I even recreated the tulips from Super Mario to give a nostalgic vibe. Starting to hate my background, might change it since I have it set to the parallax layer.

Designing with Tilemaps – Leighton

I used the tilesets from the art lab for this tilemap. They seem to work well enough for my platformer, but I might spend time after the semester going back in and improving some of the art for the weirder intersections.

CheckPoints And Portal-James

These are my checkpoints for my game. The goal is the finish line in which the player will be teleported to the second level and finish the game. The Red flag represents the checkpoint in which is enemy territory. The blue flag represents that the player has touch the checkpoint and will be teleported if player dies.

Tilesets and Platforms – Leighton

I used the program Ben had mentioned, Tilesetter, and it definitely made it quicker to set up the tilesets. I made one for the solid ground:

Kinda like a… stained glass looking floor or something.

Shaquille Edwards – scenery

for my scenery I used a Japanese lantern , temple, gate and so bamboo. I was going for a Japanese theme game.
