This is my tile set map for my game Teletrition. The colors are very poppy, but it’s supposed to represent electricity surging through the ground.
This is inspired by the colors of cyberpunk, this might look weird but I tried to use neon colors mixed with some dark colors to make it look unique.
My RPG game takes place in a city. Well.. more like a rundown city which can use a bit more cleaning and.. reworking. Considering how I planned to make my characters stand out as they live in a desaturated city, I wanted to give that idea with these tilesets.
I’ll definitely make more of these in the future, these were more fun to make than I thought.
I added the tiles that can be used as a 2D platformer with basic tiles and the file set for a simple 2D platformer.
The tiles represent a lavender field.
I kept it simple and cohesive since my game’s scenery and overall aesthetic are outdoorsy. So I just enriched the color and added flowers to be more original from the examples given in the YT video.
I used the program Ben had mentioned, Tilesetter, and it definitely made it quicker to set up the tilesets. I made one for the solid ground:
And one for the platforms you can jump through:
Kinda like a… stained glass looking floor or something.
The Idea I’m going for my tilesets is having a cobblestone road that has stains of green corrosive chemicals staining the sides and top of it of an unruly undercity known as zaun.
The first tile set can be used for a 2d platformer with basic tiles
this tile set is for a simple auto tile setup for a 2d platformer
For levitating/floating platforms
all stair tiles (always facing downward), and all “elevated” tiles as well
