For my self-portrait, I decided to recreate a photo I commonly use for my profile pictures online. It was tougher than I thought it would be at first, but once I got going it wasn’t so hard anymore. Here is a picture of the reference.

And her is my recreation of it. I think I did pretty well even though I wouldn’t consider myself an artist.

I recreated Tim from “Tim and Mobey” for my Self-portrait assignment mostly because all throughout middle school and the beginning of high school, in my science classes, we used to watch their videos all the time. It was a happy childhood memory. I tried to recreate him from memory without looking at his videos.

Version 1

I decided to recreate an iconic logo that I have seen since my childhood. Barbie was one of the brands I admired and loved to collect dolls and watch their movies. I love the early 2000s aesthetic and am very much into y2k fashion. As a kid, I loved watching Bratz, Monster High, and Disney princess movies and just using old gaming systems, it is a huge part of me which is why I decided to recreate the malibu barbie logo.
