For my final project, I created an audio file showcasing some of the sounds you might hear during finals week. I used a zip file from Opengameart that included much of what I needed, and I then added some more recordings directly in Audacity before exporting my file.
I then went into Illustrator and created an image that shows myself sitting at my desk on the computer from behind, working on finishing my final projects. The details were hard but once I got all the shapes together I was able to add colors that fit the scene. I then took my Illustrator vector image and my Audacity file and put it into After Effects. I was able to animate the coffee steam to look as though it’s hot, and the movement of the arms to match the typing sounds from my audio file. I included text to tell the story of finals from start to finish. It was difficult editing the detailed coffee steam and the arms, as it was extremely repetitive. Overall, this project was challenging but I was able to use my prior knowledge from our modules throughout the semester to help me execute my original designs on Miro.
