KeymasterEach group should post their final Mise En Scene exercise here.
Everyone should comment on the other group’s work.
Did they complete the assignment as asked? If not, explain what you thought the requirements of the assignment are
Assuming they did complete the assignment as given.
1. Point out something specific that they mentioned in the assignment that you found to be interesting.
Example: ” The scene from Hitch that Eddie chose for the assignment was very interesting. The way he contrasted the nervous, goofy character of Albert from the confident, suave Hitch was really great, especially when Eddie picked out the way the two are dressed.
2. Point out something that you noticed that the writer did not mention. This is not a criticism of the work. Instead, it is simply something to perhaps spark the writer to think in a new direction:
Example: “I enjoyed that you recognized how important the placement of characters is, for without it, audience focus isn’t going to be in the right place and the tone is going to be completely mixed. One other thing I love analyzing is the use of lighting and color in the scene. The sky is white and grey, and it really helps to make details like Fitzgerald, Bridger, and the trees in the background really pop. I also love the sense of isolation looking at this frame. Fitzgerald and Bridger aren’t back-to-back nor are they even close to each other. It adds to this idea that even though they are together in some sense they are facing their own problems alone.”
You do NOT get points from me for being cruel, condescending, a know it all, nasty, or too nice. If you just wrote good job, then you did not give feedback. There should be at least (and quite possibly more) two sentences (see above)
