      Analysis of a Frame

      Take a single frame from a clip from an early silent film that has been seen in class. Anything from the first three weeks. Discuss various aspects of mise en scene and cinematography that help create meaning and/or emotion in the shot.

      You must choose a unique frame.  You may not use a frame that someone else has posted.

      Start with the framing, move on to the setting, costumes, etc. MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE A SUMMARY OF THE ELEMENTS THAT YOU FIND IMPORTANT (AND WHY) IN YOUR SYNTHESIS
