Marcel Hidalgo holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and an MA in Language and Literacy from City College of New York, CUNY. He has 7+ years of experience working at Borough of Manhattan Community College in both academic support and administrative capacities. His writing has appeared in The Huffington Post, Entropy, Prefix Magazine, The Humanities Index, Potholes in my Blog, and tNYPress . His essay, “Toward Homeostasis in Digital Transition: A Community College Writing Center,” can be found in the anthology LITERACY & LEARNING IN TIMES OF CRISIS (Peter Lang, 2022). Prior to becoming the coordinator of the BMCC Writing Center, he worked at City College of New York as a Writing Consultant and Adjunct Instructor of the College’s English department.
