About Me
Ciarán Harland studies Criminal Justice at BMCC and serves as the current President of the BMCC French Club. Together with a group of dedicated students, he helped revive the long-dormant club, creating an open and inclusive space for exploring the French language and Francophone cultures through conversation, events, and shared learning.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Ciarán served in the British Army before beginning his studies at BMCC. He continues his commitment to service as a volunteer leader with Team Rubicon and through his ongoing support of All Angels’ Church, contributing to disaster relief and community outreach across New York City.
Academic Interests
Ciarán will attend John Jay College to earn his Bachelor’s degree in International Criminal Justice with Arabic as his minor. His academic journey demonstrates his fascination with worldwide matters and justice systems and his belief that language serves as a tool for cultural connection. He devotes time to achieve French professional proficiency while seeking roles that merge strategic thinking with public service work and international engagement opportunities.
