About Me
Becoming a teacher has many positive impacts such as shaping the minds of young people while offering opportunities for teachers themselves to learn and grow alongside their students. At its core, teaching plays a pivotal role in shaping the future by providing students with the knowledge, skills, and guidance they need to thrive. Aside from molding young people’s minds, teachers also shape students’ hearts as they serve as role models, imparting values like empathy, respect, and integrity. Teachers, with their unwavering dedication and passion, create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and supported. Thus, inspiring and empowering the next generation to reach their full potential. These are some of the many reasons I chose to become a teacher in addition to working with children and witnessing their growth and development knowing that I am playing a role in their success.
Academic Interests
After graduating from Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), I will enroll in a four-year college to pursue a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. I hope the further knowledge I gain will continue to shape my pedagogy and prepare me for the state certification. Teaching is a noble profession, and I feel honored to be a part of a profession that shapes the minds of young people and helps them reach their full potential. Finally, at whichever college I choose to continue my degree, I will aspire to uphold the standards of the teaching profession and my firm belief that learning and teaching are interconnected, one cannot exist without the other. The teacher needs a learner to impart knowledge, and the learner needs a teacher to acquire knowledge.
