Decided I would make a fairy forest, and I got this house from Sketch Lab. Looking for trees to match aesthetic. Here’s the first house.

I have been focused on modeling and improving the appearance of my scene, I have been practicing in Blender (spaceship).
Now I’m planning to model the whole scene in Blender from an architectural plane.
Well it’s that time again. Weird to think I’ve only done three of these?? At least I think I’ve done three…..
Anyways that’s not the point, this week was mainly spent coding a bunch of systems, like the collectables, redoing the respawn, etc. (None of them work. You’d think I’d hit the mark on at least one.)
Not many photos really, also added some platforms for the first half of the Temple!
That’s about it though. There’s also Berry.
Berry.
In this week’s lesson, i learned how to make an object collectible and make an AI that can chase me around.
I worked on the interior of the house that i am creating for my future level.I changed the color for the interor, added a hanging light and added a carpet.
I then added a suitcase of money that was collectible. So when the character gets close to it and goes inside it disappears.
Then i added an ai with the shape of a torus to chase the character around at all times.
Thats it for this weeks dev log
Today I learned how to create a collectable object, so I added coin collectables into my game, I’m thinking in adding more like optional paths into the same level and as reward put coin collectables and in the future maybe they could be worth something like a reward or maybe they could be a requirement to collect certain amount of coins in order to unlock next levels, for now I’m happy with the progress.
Here’s a link to the build for my first level:

Based on the user feedback controls are easy to use and the average of game time was between 1-5 minutes.
The level of difficulty is evenly spread across 2 and 4, which seems like a good level.
I created a google forms to receive some feedback about my level, I also added the links to itch.io and the link of my game into the google forms so both are link to each other.

Today I learned how to export my game and upload it into itch.io , I also added a respawn point to my game.
I did practice with meshes and combine them to make a parkour level, I also tried playing with csg meshes but I don’t know where to implement it in my game but is a good tool for a future level or maybe when I start adding more details and decorations to my game, for now I was focused on building the level platforms and practicing what I learned in class, One thing I noticed is that I need to implement a respawn point to my game since is annoying when you fall to close and open again the game.
