The pitch that resonated with me for the enthusiasm and the passion to contribute to the environment is Denish and his business, incredible eats.

I personally chose this product because It contributes to a major environmental problem that is plastic decomposition. We all know that plastic takes many many years to decompose and the fact that humans don’t dispose of it properly is even worse because this plastic ends up in oceans and landfills. The idea that Denish is creating a business that makes money and contributes to the environment is fantastic.

Incredible spoons, forks, knives and straws innovated edible cutlery in a way that it reduces the use of plastic in an effort to help preserve our oceans. Incredible eats mission is to reduce all plastic utensils. Incredible spoons are delicious, healthy and eco-friendly. EAT ME!!!!

Based on some research about Incredible eats, It states on their webpage that By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in our oceans (by weight). It also states “88 % of consumers want brands to help them make a difference. This is a great initiative because it  helps the environment , and also makes consumers more aware of the things we use everyday that cause harm to the environment and health.

The gap that this product fills is that it is a green alternative to the use of plastic utensils. Incredible eats make the decomposition process much easier compared to plastic utensils that can take up to hundreds of years to decompose. In 2018, landfills received more than 27 million tons of plastic. By switching to incredible eats that number will reduce significantly. This is a product that consumers may not only want but need, because you are contributing to oceans, landfills, and wildlife. So far the idea of Denish has reduced over 1 million plastic utensils. Also, another important thing to mention is that people need to be educated about what is happening in our world so that they can make much more educated choices when purchasing !

SPARKETH

Personally speaking, I believe “Sparketh” was a pitch that truly resonated to me for many reasons for instance: the inclusion of education to those who wish to learn about art at a young age for a small price to pay. In addition, it is online, it doesn’t have a time in where one must be regulated, it is flexible to the individual’s needs. Sparketh can lead to numerous future artists, artists that express themselves through their own work, work with feelings and meaning. However, i do believe that Sparketh can change in a few aspects, such as the resources, age limitations, and better services. I feel like Sparketh solely basing itself on Artistic features is just fine but it’s an app, a concept, that can be further developed, stretched to fit the needs of education for more than just art. Possibly to learn languages, mathematics, children academic from kindergarten to fifth grade, middle school basics (6-8) and basic high school academics that may be used for future references. Sparketh can be a place to further deepen a child’s knowledge and shouldn’t be limited. I also believe they can come up with a better layout or organization on their website making a bit more open to a better audience instead of just children like i mentioned before. I also think they should work on their sales more on how to properly advertise instead of relying on close home families near their location as without sales their business wont flourish. Overall, I am a fan of their idea but it could use some changes for it to improve.

Unit 9 Assignment

The pitch that resonated with me a lot was the one with the company Incredible Eats. The idea was amazing and resonated because I think of my nieces and nephews who will benefit a lot from eating with these utensils. As a parent, I understand that it’s very important to have utensils that are safe, and they cannot harm themselves. Also, it’s amazing that they can eat the product and have fun with it.

The product concept was very intriguing to me, I enjoyed watching the idea be explained. The product was utensils that are eatable and made in a way that will help save and preserve our environment. With our environment already seeing a lot of problems when it comes to plastic and what it is doing to the ocean and our environment, we need positive change. This product fills the gap by having utensils that are safer to use. It also fills the gap of catering to parents and businesses that have the target market of kids and parents. Not only for kids and parents but businesses who want to help protect our environment and have these core values instilled as one of their business concepts.

The product makes life easier, but many people don’t think about our environment and what is taking place and this product makes it easy for everyone to do the right thing. Even if people are not aware of taking action to dispose of plastic utensils properly, using incredible eats utensils will save us the trouble of having so much plastic destroy our ocean and our landfills. Saving our environment is such a big task to take on and to make a product so fixated on doing so is amazing.

Consumers Should not only want the product but feel the need to have it because of the great benefits it comes to, and who wouldn’t want to help save our planet. These utensils will help protect our children, save our planet but most importantly reduce the use of plastic, they’re delicious, and they are functional in all aspects. As a parent but also a person who eats out, I will enjoy this and feel good just because I understand that just me participating is for the greater good. I will be saving my planet.

I have done given a million reasons why consumers should want the product and also why the product is very positioned. I believe that the branding can be improved to appeal more to parents and kids but also some of the content being marketed and branded specifically for business to help drive that change. Other than making the advertisement a lot better in terms of appealing to various target markets this is such a fantastic idea and I believe in the future will be very much more appreciated.

Sn- I really enjoyed watching this episode, thank you, Professor.

Incredible Eats

I decided to focus on Incredible Eats because I love any sustainable products that help climate change. Plastics are in everything and make up the majority of landfill waste around the globe. Incredible Eats provides edible utensils for businesses to help reduce their contributions for damaging the earth, however, Dinesh is thinking too small. If his products are as delish as Lori explained, then he should be trying to tap into the consumer market as well.

Incredible Eats is a company producing edible utensils for restaurants and food providers to decrease the amounts of plastic being used in the industry. Because they aim to focus on B2B transactions, the products also vary in flavors to accommodate this sector by considering flavor. This increases the desirability of the products because more people are likely to use their products if they don’t affect the taste of their food.

Incredible Eats is after a market that values sustainability and alternative solutions to waste. And, there are few companies that are able to fill this gap of sustainable single-use utensils. Alternatives to plastics are being discovered more frequently, yet I have not seen any options that are edible. More and more businesses, restaurants, and individuals are focusing on their impact on climate change, and Incredible Eats offers an easier process to assist.
The need for consumers is created from different angles. Firstly, customers can feel good about disposing of their utensils after a single use through eating them or through them away (because they decompose quickly). Also, customers are supporting a small business combating climate change which further supports social entrepreneurship practices. More importantly, big businesses can reduce their plastic pollution which is needed for the overall well-being of the Earth.

Incredible Eats, though an amazing product and company already, needs some repositioning to appeal to a wider audience. Firstly, the brand should redo packaging to explain more about the product. The simple design is appealing, but consumers will not understand the full uses and benefits of the products with current packaging. Also, the company should open up its target market. Yes, big business will accomplish the highest systemic change in plastic reduction, however, that is more likely to be driven by consumer pressure. This can be accomplished by opening up market strategies to position the product in grocery stores to begin that learning process to increase awareness.

Product Concepts

The pitch that impacted me the most was by Dinesh Tadepalli and his company Incredible Eats. Dinesh’s mission is to decrease the use of plastic cutlery by replacing them with entirely edible utensils, from spoons to sporks, straws, and even chopsticks! Customers should want to buy this product for its convenience and must have it because purchasing these products is essentially helping save the planet. Dinesh has a vision that he is passionate about, and has accomplished to replace one million plastic utensils so far. With better packaging that emphasizes buying this product will reduce the use of plastic, and is eco-friendly, he will be able to sell it to not only restaurant chains but also make it more accessible to the public, like in markets and groceries.

After watching the show, the product that attracts me most is Flasky Flowers. This product is creative, amazing, and amusing. The flower is an essential item at the wedding. The bride and groom need flowers, the guests need flowers, and the flower children need flowers. Meanwhile, since the wedding is a grand social occasion, sometimes people who hold drinks all the time will look less elegant. So, the flasky flower solves this problem perfectly. Flasky Flowers not only make people look more elegant but also solve the need for drinking.

What gap does this product fill? It can make people look more elegant and drink beverages easier at the wedding.

What process does this product make easier? People who want to drink but don’t want to be disrespectful to others.

Why should consumers not only want this product but feel that they NEED it? Because everybody wants to be more elegant at the wedding.

his product has a clear positioning, that is the wedding parties. And the target audience is the organizers of the wedding or the ladies who attended the wedding.

Dinesh’s last pitch regarding his company Incredible Eats was the one that struck me the most. His edible utensil offering isn’t groundbreaking, but his passion for it is. He hopes that by creating this device, he would be able to reduce the quantity of plastic trash produced by single-use plastic utensils.

I believe that if consumers have a responsibility to assist the world in combating global warming, we should put our words into action. Many people have taken to the streets in recent years to express their views on environmental issues, and our product is just one of many that can and will help us move in the right path.

Lori was correct in her assessment that the packaging needed to be updated; I believe Dinesh was attempting to integrate his product in with the other basic plastic utensil packaging. His product, however, is not the first, although it is a part of a Few. Many customers will buy anything that makes them feel comfortable, thus if they walk into a store and directly to the plastic forks, they will select the one they know and are acquainted with, entirely dismissing the rest and missing Dinesh’s groundbreaking innovation. A fresh design with greater disclaimers on the box might avoid this.

I also believe that this product has a lot of potential that is just waiting to be realized. Dinesh may believe that only restaurants are interested in his items at the time, but he is also disregarding a wide range of markets. One example is educational institutions, which serve over 13 million students every year and often invest in plastic spoons. They may also invest in and develop additional goods that could fit these culinary tools, such as ice trays, and offer reusable molding trays and the product batter to consumers to produce for themselves.

After watching the four pitches on Shark Tank Season 13-episode 3, One pitch stood out among four great pitches not only because of how ingenious the product was but its potential for a real impact environmentally.

I chose this product not only for its obvious contribution to saving our planet, but the potential Dinesh is sitting on because up toil now he has only been dealing b2b with no marketing directly to consumers. With some brilliant marketing I feel his product can easily become a household name.

Secondly it is quite ingenious. In addition, the sharks seem to enjoy the flavored edible and immediately they recognized the products potential.

They offer edible flavored utensils such as spoons, knives, sporks, and straws. The flavors are Subtle, and the straw is flavorless so as not to interfere with the flavor of the food. These utensils can last up to more than 20 minutes in hot soup and about an hour in Ice cream then you can eat it after, which is very practical. The cutlery costs are significantly higher than its plastic counterparts at 15 cents apiece.

The gap that this product fills is, it is a green alternative to single use plastic utensils. Eatable utensils reduce the amount of plastics in our Landfills. Incredible eats is on a mission to save the planet by reinvent in the way we view our single use cutlery.

replacing all plastic utensils with Incredible eats is a revolutionary product but suffers from limiting their sales to B2B and utilizing zero marketing resulting in poor sales, and total revenue at a disappointing $175k in sales. By implementing some smart marketing strategies and direct marketing to consumers I feel the sky is the limit for this product.

Unit 9 Assignment

The pitch that resonated with me the most was the last pitch by Dinesh about his business Incredible eats. This was definitely a product “that makes you think why didn’t I think of that?” and as he was pitching his ideas and enthusiasm drew you in. His product of edible utensils may not be a first but his drive behind this product is what sets him apart. He wants this product to help reduce the amount of plastic waste caused by single used plastic utensils.

I feel as if consumers have the duty of helping the planet fight global warming, we should practice what we preach. Many took to the streets these past few years trying to voice their opinions on helping the environment and this product is one of the many that can and would take us in the right direction.

Lori had the right idea about the packaging needing to be changed, I think Dinesh was trying to go for the plain packaging to make his product blend in with the other plain plastic utensil packaging. However, his product may not be the first but it is a part of FEW. Many consumers will buy something that makes them feel safe, so if they walk into a store and straight to the plastic forks, they will choose the one they know and are familiar with, completely ignoring the rest and not noticing this revolutionary product of Dinesh. A new design, with better disclaimers on the packaging could prevent this.

I also personally feel as if this product has so much potential waiting to be unlocked. Dinesh at the moment might think that only restaurants may be interested in his products but he’s also overlooking a broad spectrum of places to market to. One being education institutions, school’s everyday feed up more than 13mil annually and typically these schools also invest into plastic spoons. They could also invest and create other products that could accommodate these edible utensils, for example ice trays, they could sell reusable molding trays and the batter of the product to consumers to make for themselves.

The possibilities are endless.

Product concept

The pitch that resonated with me was Flasky Flowers and for the reason it being for a specific market wedding. The product is seasonal, and some months sales would be high compared to others, but I do know if this had to go globally to any extend to where this American product reaches the southern hemisphere its potential to bring in sales are just as great. I love weddings and I see brides and grooms loving this since you can have the option of having real flowers or synthetic.

The product concept is a bouquet/flask to fill that special day with some booze or your choice of beverage of cause, this concept fills a market where you do not need to carry both your bouquet and drink but eliminate having to stand around with your drink when you are.

Flasky flowers is entering into the market with a new invention with a twist.

What gap does this product fill? An invention like Flasky flowers has potential to grow because it has the capability to withhold real flowers. On a hot summer day at a wedding and you’re standing at the alter thirsty this might just come handy.

What process does this product make easier? The product is more convenience but B2B this could expand and be bigger with the right team.

Why should consumers not only want this product, but feel like they need it? This concept would depend on many factors one of them is that this becomes a trend and replaces the old way of just having your simple bouquet, but that would be a tough market to penetrate since many people might not see the need for it, since this product is probably not sustainable or able to reuse for other purposes.

This product would best position and branded to consumers that are getting married or parties. That is why packaging and advertising of this product could play a big role in its revenue.
