product concepts

After watching the four pitches on Shark Tank Season 13-episode 3, One pitch stood out among four great pitches not only because of how ingenious the product was but its potential for a real impact environmentally.

I chose this product not only for its obvious contribution to saving our planet, but the potential Dinesh is sitting on because up toil now he has only been dealing b2b with no marketing directly to consumers. With some brilliant marketing I feel his product can easily become a household name.

Secondly it is quite ingenious. In addition, the sharks seem to enjoy the flavored edible and immediately they recognized the products potential.

They offer edible flavored utensils such as spoons, knives, sporks, and straws. The flavors are Subtle, and the straw is flavorless so as not to interfere with the flavor of the food. These utensils can last up to more than 20 minutes in hot soup and about an hour in Ice cream then you can eat it after, which is very practical. The cutlery costs are significantly higher than its plastic counterparts at 15 cents apiece.

The gap that this product fills is, it is a green alternative to single use plastic utensils. Eatable utensils reduce the amount of plastics in our Landfills. Incredible eats is on a mission to save the planet by reinvent in the way we view our single use cutlery.

replacing all plastic utensils with Incredible eats is a revolutionary product but suffers from limiting their sales to B2B and utilizing zero marketing resulting in poor sales, and total revenue at a disappointing $175k in sales. By implementing some smart marketing strategies and direct marketing to consumers I feel the sky is the limit for this product.

    Hey Katty

I totally agree the sales are dissapointing and it shows that the world is not ready to move toward changing your plastic spoons yet, but the potential is there since we are more aware of the impact we have on earth and how we could improve it by marketing those products heavily in places where plastic is being polluted more.

    Hi Katty,
I totally agree with Incredible eats is a revolutionary product but suffers from limiting their sales to B2B, they have alot of potential outside of just B2B, Dinesh mentioned that he had not yet marketed the product. Hopefully with the invest he was able to market outside of B2B.

    Hi Katty,

I totally agree with what you say. This product is a great contribution to the environment because it is a green alternative to the use of plastic utensils. I also believe that in order for this product to be really successful, consumer should be educated about the product and the business mission.
