CUNY Clash Idea

Horion Business Center is a Nonprofit organization striving to help New York City’s self-employed immigrants to reach financial stability by providing necessary resources. Our firm has created numerous programs aiming to lead our clients on the pathway to success.

Even though the city has developed programs to assist business owners, it has failed to address the local urgent needs for self-employed immigrants. These individuals need specific accommodation as they might face language and cultural barriers, limited access to capital, and difficulty navigating regulations and licensing requirements. Immigrant entrepreneurs are active in a variety of industries, including food service, retail, construction, transportation, and healthcare. Many start and run businesses on their own without a basic understanding of business and finance management.

We believe that financial education is critical because it helps individuals understand how to manage their money effectively. That is why we will ensure that our members get equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully run a business and make decisions about their finances.
