MEA-211 Final Project

The Moon Lamp

Lamp projects on Makerspace inspired me to do the moon lamp, I thought it is a brilliant idea because I can use it at home. The Moon lamp is a night table lamp for a living room or a bedroom. It is a medium square box with an Aztec moon design on four sides of the square lamp. I started the project with some sketches for the design and the boxes I am using.

Then I create the model on illustrator and make it ready to print. The design process was fun because I was visualizing the moon on the lamp with delicate light.  But the hardest part was the steps to prepare the shapes to laser cutting. Professor Culkin helped me to figure out.

The lamp’s final product is on cardboard and I am using LED inside to do the light of the lamp and a button to turn off and on.
