What does C. Wright Mills say about sociological imagination?

What Mills say about sociological imagination is that neither the life of an individual nor the history of a society can be understood without understanding both. Meaning you should not judge an individual through a large scale or through a particular group of people, you need to understand an individual person as well and see where they come from, through their point of view.

How does a sociologist define society as a group of people who reside in a defined area, share a culture, and interact with one another?

The way sociologist define society is by seeing the way people are raised or what they are surrounded by and how it affects each other. Sociologist are attentive in the experience of each individuals and how it shapes them by interactions with social groups and society as a whole. Cultural traditions and social forces put pressure on people to select one choice over another because they think that one way of doing things is right or the norms because they are use to it. Sociologist try to identify these general patterns by examining the behavior of large groups of people living in the same society and experiencing the same societal pressures.

What is the difference between Sociological Imagination and Sociological Perspective?

The difference between sociological imagination and sociological perspective is that sociological imagination provides us with the ability to see the relationship between the individual experience and the larger society. On the other hand Sociological perspective allows us to find out why people do things they do. It would be the way to look at a situation in life.
