I am from under the sea, from waters where many natural creatures live.
I am from a royal home; a person is enstooled as a chief in charge of the affairs of the family.
I am from the root of mahogany tree, The tree that can be used for things like exercise books.
I am from a home where the family celebrates a festival on the first Saturday of September; chiefs from different parts of their ancestral homes come together and are carried in a palanquin.
And the family is specifically known for being passionate and helpful to people in need, from Nana Yartel III of Anona royal family of Amamoma via University of Cape Coast, usually located in west of Africa.
And with a specific recognition of a totem bird named parrot.
I am from the family where majority of the people follow one political party,
And one religious’ belief. From when I grew up, I was told my father had been a hunter, walking barefooted in the forest to avoid animals escaping from him, and coming home the next morning with a handful of hunted animals to put food on the table for the family.
I am from a Christian home with no affiliation to any other known religion. I am from a Christian home where many of us are part of the elders of the church, specifically a Pentecostal church.
I’m from Cape Coast, the central part of Ghana where I was born, with a Fante dialect specifically spoken by the people of Cape Coast, known for mashed yam and green plantain for fufu.
From the story that unfolded, I learned the chief of the family with his head raised to the sky had slept on his left-hand many years ago, taking nearly 15 years before my own blood brother was enstooled as the current chief of the family and his male cousin became the head of the family steering the affairs of the family.
I am from where the roots of the family pictures and other monuments are stored in one particular decorated room in the palace for tourism purposes.
