Hi, I read an article from the New York Times (which is in the New York State Newspaper Database) about the ASMR Genre of videos on Youtube. It was super interesting and a great read on a timely topic and trend.
It speaks about the benefits of listening to ASMR videos, which includes relaxation, reduced blood pressure, and anxiety healing. It also speaks about some of the controversy surrounding this genre of videos, as some say these videos have sexual undertones.
All in all, it is a great read on a great topic and I highly recommend the read. Also, this article was pretty easy to find. It was one of the first links on the page when I opened the New York State Newspapers Database.
(On the question of whether or not this will help my midterm proposal, I don’t think so. It is about the ASMR genre of videos, not music covers, which will (probably) be my midterm proposal.)
