My idea is The Colored Claws Academy, which is a nail technology school focusing on nail forms. Nail forms are a growing preference for nail enhancements which will give our salon and alumni a competitive advantage. The world and our community is in need of quality nail technicians that give the people what they want and deserve as clients and pampered people. I want to build a beauty community bringing nail clients, nail artists, and anyone in between together through creativity and self care.
I am the CEO of Colored Claws, a nail art servicing company. I created this brand because of my love for creating quality art on nails, boosting confidence in clients, and the beauty industry. I have been mastering this craft since I was 10 years old and now have a nail technology license, degree in small business entrepreneurship, and certifications from other nail classes and bring my knowledge with me everyday in my everyday operations and nail classes. My role in Colored Claws Academy would be the CEO and head nail educator. I would run the business with my team and teach the nail technology courses.
I’m part of the black community, which is rich of culture. Part of my culture is heavily involved in the beauty industry, especially nails. It is important to uplift us after years of racism and mistreatment and continue the art, culture and love that carries from person to person through nails. Since I have made this my career, four years ago, I have never stopped wanting to grow my business and share my gift with the world, especially my community, so I am very serious on continuing.
