“The Handsomest Drowned man” was probably one of the best short stories I have read in a while. It really does have a sense of magical realism and really got my mind working in all kinds of ways. It was filled with imagery and hope…?… and I feel spoke kind of on how, though in death Esteban was a complete stranger. to the village/villagers, he helped them believe in something and he also became almost like a god? anyways, i think you chose this because it might be based on what we will be studying

Could you be good enough to title your post with your name? Thanks!
Roxanna, thanks for posting. I’m not clear on why you feel I might have assigned this as the first reading. Please be sure to title your post with your full name, okay? Thanks!
Roxana, I’m so glad you posted. I’d like to hear a little bit more. What do you mean when you say our studies in ENG 201 might be based on this story? Remember that posts must be at least 150 words in length to receive full credit (and I say this to everyone, not just you).
