Tech Support
Blackboard Support
- Users log in to Blackboard use their CUNYfirst username followed by @login.cuny.edu, and their CUNYfirst password.
- For example, if a user logs into CUNYfirst as george.washington76, they log into Blackboard as george.washington76@login.cuny.edu.
- If you need assistance logging into Blackboard or using any of the tools in Blackboard, you can contact the E-Learning Center by phone, email or in person. The E-Learning Center is open 6 days a week during the regular semester.

Blackboard Student User Guides
Click on the title link to go to Blackboard’s Student User site where you’ll learn all about Blackboard through easy-to-use guides and videos.
Blackboard Orientation for Students
All students must complete the mandatory E-Learning Orientation Module (only once). To access the E-Learning Orientation:
- Find the E-learning Orientation link in the main left-hand side menu and click on it.
- Follow the instructions to enroll in the orientation.
- When you complete the orientation, you will be issued a certificate. Instructors for online courses may require you to upload this certificate as proof you completed the orientation.

LRC Computer Labs
The LRC maintains four instructional computer labs:
S-510C, S-510F, S-510G, and S-510H.
Computer Labs are equipped with 20-30 workstations each and are available to individuals, classes and small groups for self-paced exercises, scheduled and walk-in tutoring, computer-based tutorial programs, access to classroom-supported software, and computer training workshops.
The Writing Center
The Writing Center supports writing across the curriculum by working with students and faculty to maximize the effectiveness of writing projects and student awareness of best practices. We work with all students who have writing projects, including those from the Social Sciences, Critical Thinking and Writing Intensive courses.

Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC)
Why Single Stop? You can make one stop to a single office and get access to so many benefits. If you are having problems with finances, health insurance or anything else that might get in the way of your studies at BMCC, contact the Advocacy and Resource Center for advice and assistance at arc@bmcc.cuny.edu.
Counseling Center
The Counseling Center provides counseling and mental health services to students and consultative services to faculty and staff. Get more details on the services available to all students, including e-learning students.

Office of Accessibility
The Office of Accessibility offers a range of reasonable accommodations and academic adjustments to qualified students with disabilities. E-learning courses are accessible for students with a range of disabilities including visual impairment, hearing impairment or mobility problems.
Learning Resource Center & Tutoring
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) offers tutorial and instructional computer lab services and course-specific, non-print supplemental instructional materials. Online and eTutoring available as well!
