Welcome to Week 3 of our course. I’m sorry about the problems with OpenLab over the weekend.
This week will be focusing on the genre of Poetry. You’ll be exploring the themes and structure of Shakespearean and Italian sonnets, and will be reading three different types of poems: lyric, dramatic, and narrative.
Your final draft of the essay on your chosen literary work is due on Wednesday, January 19. Essays must be submitted by deadline so that I have time to review them by the end of the week.
There will be a final quiz on Monday, January 24, which you will take during the Zoom meeting. A large portion of the quiz will be on Poetry. You will have 90 minutes to complete the 25-question multiple-choice test.
