Welcome to Week 5 of our course. This week (and next Tuesday), we will be exploring one of the great tragedies of Western literature, Oedipus the King, a Ancient Greek drama which raises powerful questions about free will and fate. I’m sure you will be intrigued by the complicated character of the doomed king.
Essay 4 must be submitted by the due date, Monday, August 12th so that I have time to review everyone’s essay. I must submit grades immediately after the course ends.
Quiz 5 is due midnight, Sunday, August 17.
The final quiz will be available from 9:00 Monday, August 18th through midnight, Tuesday, August 19th. This quiz covers all the material in the 5-week course.
The last day of class is Tuesday, August 19th.
