The terror felt when reading “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?” is very different from the terror of watching a terrifying movie in the sense that when you’re watching a movie you can physically see whats going on and in a way that is more terrifying than read the story. For the story you have to use your imagination in order to “see” whats actually going on. You rely heavily on the details given to you in the story and so that can limit some people due to them not having much of an imagination.

I agree with you, although you could’ve gave more description about the story we read specifically. I think it is true that stories are based on your imagination and movies are more terrifying. In stories the descriptions are a huge part in how you picture everything and I think this sheds light on what I had shared in my response being that your minds give us a easier time with books rather than movies!
I agree with you, when reading a story you have to rely on the authors to give a good description on what is happening. Sometimes it can also be hard to imagine a story when the some authors don’t give good descriptions. I also agree with you when watching the movie you are getting the fear of the gore scenes and it brings chills.
Hi Petter, I agree on what you saying because when you watch a movie everything is physically there on the screen which allows you to actually get scared . If you have to do too much & use your imagination then it’s not really scary it would probably just be considered more suspenseful than scary .
Good comments, Petter. Just a little short.
