in my opinion, my ability to read poetry has improved a bit these past two weeks. I feel this way because it’s been a while since I’ve sat down and read poems so it took some time for me to get used to decoding the meanings of poems. I felt this way especially when we were reading Stopping by Woods on a snowy evening by Robert Frost. although I feel like I’ve learned somethings from poetry this week I can still improve by keeping up with reading poetry in general to maintain that kind of ability to read.

Same here, I haven’t read a poem in so long I seriously do not remember. This week has been refreshing and a nice welcoming to reading poems again. I forgot how enjoyable it was to read them even though I did struggle at being able to understand certain poems but after re-reading I was able to begin getting a grasp of understanding poems again, bonus next time I write someone a poem it will definitely be way better then before after this week.
Paola, yes, reading poetry does take a little practice. The more you do it, the more comfortable you will become with the genre. You also have to read a poem more than once for a full understanding.
Hi Paola, same I feel like you always should take the time out to read poetry & grasp the theme of it . Being in this class has really been an eye opener on the reading of poems .Also when you read the poem like at least 2-3 times you start to get comfortable with the understanding of it.
It’s fantastic to hear that you feel your ability to read poetry has improved over the past two weeks! Taking the time to engage with poetry, like “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost, can be immensely rewarding. Maintaining that momentum by continuing to read poetry regularly is an excellent way to further enhance your skills and deepen your understanding of this art form. Keep up the great work!
