Hello! I’m Madelyn — it’ll be nice to meet you all next week, when we actually have meetings, but this can suffice for now.
To get the usual icebreaker traits out of the way, I’m a sophomore here at [edit:BMCC ! the name of the college, what I meant to type], pursuing an associate degree in Financial Management. If all goes as planned, this should be my second-to-last semester, and I’m excited to transfer to CCNY for my Economics BA! It’s true what they say about the grind never stopping, isn’t it? I’d call said grind one of my main interests!
As for what I feel that I can contribute to this course, I’ll freely confess that I’ve taken Introduction to Literature more than once, so I may be familiar with some of the material. Besides that, my older brother is a CUNY alumnus and bought a textbook for this course when he took it — I’ve found that said book has much of the texts used in some of ENG201’s curricula, and if that proves to be true this time too, I can provide the name of it (if you’d like to seek it out as a supplementary resource) on request!
I hope we’ll all have a productive semester together!

Hello Madelyn I like how approachable and conversational your writing sounded, almost if you were speaking with someone. I was somewhat inspired by the way you expressed your enthusiasm for your major and your future aspirations. I’m excited to read your works and provide helpful feedback. I hope you have an amazing semester!
Madelyn, I’m sure people can relate to your comments about “the grind never stopping.” But believe me, it will. You seem very open to studying literature even though it is not the focus of your academic area.
Hello Madelyn, it’s nice to know that we both are majoring in the same field at BMCC. I like the way you approach this task by using your writing skills. It’s almost as if you’re having a conversation with your audience. It’s very unique. I’m looking forward to reading your work and hopefully learn a few tips for my own writing. I hope you pursue your academic goals. I’m wishing you the best for this semester.
