This is a practical 10-question multiple-choice quiz in which students must match literary terms to quotes from literary works. The quiz will be available from 9:00 a.m. Monday, February 20 to 11:59 p.m. Sunday, February 26. Quiz must be taken in one setting, and students have 90 minutes in which to complete it. This quiz will include “Araby,” so be sure to complete this reading before taking the quiz. Study materials for this quiz can be found in Activity 4 on the Week 4 page.

Please take the Essay Introduction Quiz before starting the writing assignment. This quiz measures your understanding of the writing assignments for this course. In order to have your Essay Introduction read and graded, you must first take the Essay Introduction Quiz.

To access the quiz, navigate to your Blackboard page. On the black navigation panel, Select “Links to Quizzes.” Select “Essay Introduction Quiz.”
Part II
For your first written assignment, you will write only an introduction (6-10 sentences). Please read all directions carefully and follow the outline given. Click here to access Essay Introduction Directions.

When you are ready to submit, navigate back to your Blackboard course. On the dark grey navigation panel, click “Essay Submission Links.” Then click “Essay Introduction.”
All essays in this class must adhere to MLA format. Before submitting any written work, please review the following guides to formatting. Only correctly formatted essays will be eligible for a grade of A. There will be a quiz on format next week.
