The vignette that made the strongest impression on me is “A House of My Own”. The central idea of this vignette is essentially about owning a house living by yourself without having to worry about cleaning up after someone else living there and being in a quiet peaceful clean space with no interruptions. The theme of this vignette is coming of age as for why it resonates with me it’s because one day I want to be able experience the same thing

I totally understand because I feel like we are all in the same boat, especially living in NYC where it’s so hard to move out and have your own place since rent is insanely high. I liked this vignette as well since it is so calming and it speaks to a lot of us still trying to get a handle on life and get our foot in the real world. A lot of people these days dream about owning their home and it is a sad reality we live in.
Hi Pierre, I understand how you feel when it comes to living with someone else it’s very difficult living with people. Like you’ve said, “being in a quiet peaceful clean space with no interruptions.” I feel like a lot of people that are currently dealing with those living situations. Are wishing they will own a house soon. And I wish you luck and I’m hoping you’ll own your own home soon.
