The short story the handsomest drowned man ever is a story about a village that ends up finding a drowned man and accepting him even though he was much bigger and was different than anything they have ever seen before, to me the message of this story is not to judge a book by its cover and to be open and willing to change.
This relates to me as a student because as a student you have to be open to and willing to learn about new topics and subjects. It also shows that you should accept new things and be open to new things instead of trying to stay in your ways. It also shows and talks about how one should be accepting of other people even if they’re different or don’t fit in like everyone else, because for the villagers in the story they were confused at first but after being accepting the man fit right into their village.
