1. The Necklace had some meaning to me because I’ve been in that same situation in real ;life. I had borrowed something from a friend and lost it. The only difference with me was I told my friend that I lost it and I paid him the money to replace and he wasn’t upset about it. The truth will save the day sometimes.
2. The most recent story we read by Carver helped me realize a few things. The husband was ignorant and was making silly assumptions about the blind man, and all of the assumptions proved to be false. That can help us all realize that judging a book by its cover or assuming something about something can be the worst thing you can do.
3. My favorite writer this class was Raymond Carver. He was my favorite because of how clear and to the point his writing was. Like I said previously, I’m not the biggest fan of the flowery language and all the extra words that come with it, and when I said it was garbage the other day I was exaggerating.
