Ones view is never usually the same as we would expect it. The blame game is always brought in , ever since we were children. Oedipus forms a bias opinion of Creon, all from a slight loss of maturity and a tale from the blind prophet. If we understand that piece of the story we can see it and recall incidents that were similar. But we possibly won’t as we want to only remember and praise ourselves as always being correct. My fellow classmates and professor I’m pretty sure you can recall one major example of this, the example being a picture of two people on opposite sides, one sees the number six and the other sees the number nine. As both are arguing who’s right, we get to see the image from the middle and see both are correct, But if that’s the case then why are they still arguing. There are many different reasons but the main one that related from oedipus and our lives, Is that not everything or everyone will have the same thoughts or perspective that you have. Want to stop the argument then we must take others perspective and thought process into consideration. Just as oedipus and Creon did, sure the we’re arguing in some way but both points were herd and understood.

It is a great quality to be open minded about other people opinions. Noone said that we should believe or agree with other but to think and accept other opinion as well as yours.
Kevin, I love your number 9 and 6 reference, and I think you make an excellent and very timely observation about people’s inability to realize that we all have different perspectives. I find this especially hard when it comes to our current politics. People also have the tendency, as you note, to jump to conclusions without evidence. For me, this is an important part of college and what we should all be learning about research, evidence, and the quality of sources. Thanks for the good comments. It’s great to have you back in class.
