Once a time, a poet named Zamyatin said: “Literature is painting, architecture and music.” In other words, a writer describes, builds, and plays anything he want to express to the reader through literature. This quote highlights an important part of my life. I always look like a person who traveled, and experienced a lot in life, in fact everything that I knows mostly is throughout books. Every kind of books or literature works that I read make me discover many environments that I never been, or many emotions that I never felt. Sometimes, many sounds that I never heard. For example, I read a book called ” Pere Gorio” written by a French author which describes a man in a 19th century who sacrifice a lot for his daughters to live a happy life. The author describes the environment with precise, accurate yet unclear word like a mazard painting. He builds up a scenario for reader to immersed in the story like an architect who want to build a place for the comfort of people. To describe the grief of a father that sacrifices everything for his daughters, but they do not saw the effort of their father and abandoned him in poverty, he used words like “huuuum”, “ooh” to show us his pain. During my journey in that book, it like I have been in a lot of places, seen a lot of emotions, and heard a lot of sound even though I have never been there.

This is a beautiful description of how books can transport us to faraway places! I especially love the phrasing, so relevant to the quote, that reads: that books “make me discover many environments that I have never been to, or many emotions I have never felt. Sometimes, many sounds that I never heard.” This not only shows the power of the book you discuss but the power of many books.
