Although the sound is a little scratchy, that might just add to the authentic 1960s feeling of this reading of “A Good Man Is Hard to Find” by the author herself, Flannery O’Connor.

Click this link to access a fascinating literary critique from the BMCC library database Literature Resource Center, entitled “Things Darkly Buried: In Praise of ‘A Good Man Is Hard to Find.'” This article discusses the many “buried things” readers can unearth in “A Good Man Is Hard to Find” by Flannery O’Connor.

Activity 5
Essay 2 due: Friday, March 26, 11:59 p.m.
In this class, you will be developing one single research essay over the course of the 15-week semester. We will be working on this project step by step. This process is known as “scaffolding.”
For this step of the process, you will write a 2-3 page first draft of an essay based on the introduction assigned in Week 4. Your first paragraph should be the introduction you have already written; however, my corrections should be incorporated into it. Please read all directions carefully and follow the outline given. Click here to access essay directions.
Click here to see how your paper should look.
All essays in this class must adhere to MLA format. Before submitting any written work, please review the guides to formatting. Only correctly formatted essays will be eligible for a grade of A. Here is another link to a clear and simple guide to MLA formatting from the BMCC library.
To submit your essay, return to your Blackboard course and Click the Essay Submission Links folder on the black navigation panel. Within the folder, click the subfolder labeled “Essay 2.”
Activity 6
Click this link to access the Week 7 discussion.
As I’m sure you can understand that, with nearly 80 participants in our OpenLab group, it is not possible for me to respond individually to every single post. However, I assure you that I do read every post. I will, of course, be jumping into the forum from time to time, usually in the first few days of the week. This discussion board really belongs to you and your colleagues.
Reviewing My Comments on Your Essays
When your grade shows up in Blackboard, please be sure to review both my text and voice comments on your essay. This is very important so that you can incorporate the comments/corrections into your next draft. Please see “How to Review Instructor’s Comments on Your Written Work” in COURSE INFORMATION.
