I love the story “The story of hour” by Kate Chopin The story dives into subjects of cultural assumptions, individual personality, and the intricacies of human feeling in a compact story.  So anything can happen any time in life so we have to ready for everything. This story  is a brief yet strong investigation of a lady’s close to home excursion. After learning of her husband’s unexpected death, Mrs. Mallard at first responds with shock yet before long finds a recently discovered feeling of opportunity and self. She embraces the possibility of existence without her better half’s presence, just to have her expectations run when he suddenly gets back. Character Mrs. Mallard in the story “The Story of an Hour” grieves by listening to her husband’s tragic accident she realized that she was now free “She said it over and over under her breath: “free, free, free!” (Chopin para10). She was filled with excitement and joy for becoming free from being merely a wife.

Exploring the contrasts between boys and girls within a family, it diverges from Sandra Cisneros’ usual themes by delving into broader societal restrictions, eliciting a sense of empathy for the characters in the reader. The vignette “Hair” enraptured me, particularly because of my special interaction with it. I found it especially captivating as it resounded with my cherished recollections. I remember how much fun it was to style my mother’s hair and how the scent and softness made me always feel safe. Like the storyteller, I felt areas of strength for a to this encounter.           The vignette “Chuckling” left me puzzled, as            the storyteller communicated a hating for                her different sisters because of seen                           contrasts in both actual appearance and         outlook  contrasted with herself and Nenny. She    meticulously describes her sisters’ lips, recommending a potential inclination of jealousy towards their actual characteristics or the bonds they share.

I compared Raymond Carver’s simple writing to  “The Lesson” by Toni Cade Bambara. I like both the worter because they both uses simple day to day language for there writing.Bambara our narrator lives in poor neighborhood she learn there economically equality and social injustice that people habe there. In many sentencse he uses and continuously to make the language easy for the people. In the sentence  “So we heading down the street and she’s boring us silly about what things cost and what our parents make and how much goes for rent and how money ain’t divided up right in this country” (Bambara.). I think this is the easiest language i have seen i like the story most. The lesson is same like this it is very easy langiage to understand.

Fo my essay i have chosse “Snow White” for my faire tale. As it is known to every one and i am deeply inerested in this faire tale. And I will talk for both the fairy tale of “Snow White” Bruno Bettelheim’s version and another one which we all habe seen the movie. I am disagree with that every fairy tale should read by the the children because it has negative impact and very bad impact also so it is not good for the children. So not every fiary tale should read by the children some has restriction for reading. I  will use primary and secondary sources for my essay’s and I am very excited to write this essay.

Im the story “Little snow white” by Bruno Bettelheim’s is a psychological interpretation of the fairy tale Snow White. He argues and compare the fairy tell, he tell the reality and that affects to children in bad ways. He uses words like maturity, narcissism, sexual etc. Children like the story “little snow white” because that can’t understand the meaning what he his trying to say. He also says that fairy tale should not read by the kids because that affect them in wrong way and they start assuming wromg things. However Anne sexton’s retelling of the poem “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” It shows great and meaningfull fairy tell it is about women and it shows women less valuable than men. Without women men can’t do anything thing by themself. Difference between bith the story is bruno try to tell that all the fairy tell are not good for kids they should nit read all. On the other hand Anne sexton tell the value of women and tell how important they are.

In the story “A Good Man is Hard to Find” by flannery O’Connor it is about grandmother and his family who are seen as “good” family and misfit as the “evil” ones. The grandmother sees herself as a righteous and devout person however she is egocentric and racist from the inside. She is consider as good lady but she is not at all good lady she is shown in the story that she is nice it is based on social problem like racism.at the end of the story grandma remembers Misfit as “one of her own children” carries a change of tone in the story. Then grandmother realize how misfit feels that way after that she get self observation after getting the realization of good and evil.

“Reading a poem is part attitude and part technique,” it tells us that to read a poem it has technique to read and it is part of our attitude it has so many different emotion different meanig in ine sentence we have to feel emotion of poem.The attitude in W. B. Yeats’ poetry “The Lake Isle of Innisfree” this poem has very deep thinking and it is emotional poem line like “And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow” after reading this poem we can easliy understand poem it is very great story . In first time i can’t understand the poem but after reading second time i understand that “The Lake of Isle of Innisfree” this place were narrator wants to visit to find peace and silence. In the line  “I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore”. It is quiet depresing poem i don’t like it it is trying to explain the sound of waves weach are coming at the beach.

The greeting card lyrics in “why do I love you so much?” and elizabeth barret browing sonnet  “How do I Love Thee?” Both the poetry has talk about love but they both have different style to describe love. In The greeting card they have use simole language to describe word that we can understand easily.  “Because I trust you  more than anyone in the world  to listen, to help me through  to remind me how to laugh  when times are trying”. He is describing her partner that he trust her most other anyone person and she is always with him in is hard time when he needs him and explain him how to stay clam in hard sitution. In elizabeth barret browing sonnet he has used some complex words in the poem and poen follows a pattern of music.  “I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death.”in the last line of the poem he explains his love to her. He can do whatever if god says still he will love her. So both the story are about love but they both have different style to express it like every person has different style to love there partner.

In “The story of an hour” by Kate Chopin and “The wife” by Emily Dickinson’s both of them have the same stories about the 19th century married life and about what women suffer at that time . In “The story of an hour” after the death of is husband she was sad but after some time she was happy by thinking that now she can live life what she wanted to and she can do whatever she was so happy we can say that by “Free,Free,Free!”(L,14). In the poem “The wife”  wife gave up all her happiness her identity and her life to live with her husband which she says “she rose to his requirement ,dropped the play things of her life”. so in today’s time some families still make rules for the wife and husband to control her It is not good that she has the right to live life with his rules.

In the story “oedipus the king” by sophocles we can see that how people are selfish for them they can do anything for ther happy life. Oedipus kill is father and married to his mother after sometime he cannot belibe that he did it that. So he was running from the faith and started lying and started doubting to his close one. Despite this all he was telling to all the city that how he saved the city from plague. After that all running from the faith he started making rude and harsh decision for the city . He was not accepting the truth what he has done he got blind when he has done that to become king that is not right to because he was surronded by royal family so he know what king and queen do for there city.

Pandemic it comes every 100 years in 1800 C.E choloreo pandemic happem in 1900 C.E  plague was there and in 2000 C.E. we have covid so like every 100 year world suffer from big pandemic. In the play  “Oedipus the King” plague story has been describe how the people were suffer from the plague and they have hero oedipus people he will help him and he will be the only who can find the vaccine for it so they were happy . In the same Covid 19 was come and half of the populatuon die beacuse of the pandemic it was very scary time for all the people. I was in india and india is the second highest populated country so due to that it was very bad phase for all the people beacuse they are not getting the bad in the hospital and all the people are dying. President closs the whole country only essential  things shop will be open like dairy and medical shops for specific time and people are scared to go out and take medicine. Hope this hard time bever come again because ot was very hard for people. We don’t have hero like oedipus who can find vaccine imediately so it was good for them.

In the story  married woman husband death taken suddenly at first she was very sad about that but after some time she realize that now she his free from all the marriage rituals now she can do whatever she want to do now she don’t have to follow somone rules. However now women are free to chose whateveer they want they have to stay at home or not but before they can’t leave home they are not allowed to do work. In Emily Dickinson’s poem”The wife,” the writer investigates the subject of cultural assumptions and the concealment of uniqueness. The poem tells the narrative of a lady who at first adjusts to the requests of a man yet in the long run understands the expense of forfeiting her personality and freedom to meet his prerequisites. Both the stories are similar They tell us the story of a 19th century marriage and the role of women. How women are treated at that time is shown. They both show the freedom, unfairness and independence in the marriage.

The quote “literature adds to reality; it does not simply describe it”(C.S Lewis) is embodied in the short story “the lesson” by toni cade Bambara it tells us the reality what going on the world.  A child named sylvia goes toy store with is friend and miss moore ,she is well educated black women. So there some unjustice happen it is story of every black people so its not right i think people should not judge people by color, race, income, languages and even based on jobs it is very bad thing .The quote “Equal chance to pursue happiness means an equal crack at the dough”(toni cade bambara) it tells how hard work they will do it will never come to good side but still some people are getting very good chance but not 100% they are still with old mind set , so they have to change .

In the story “salvation” by langston hughes. The narrator was very disappoinment and feeling guilty when giving in to peer presure.Langston was waiting to be saved and to see Jesus at the same time. When that never came he initially refused to lie to everyone until he realized that the only outcome to it all was for him to be “saved”. He then cried in bed because he couldn’t admit that he never saw god, resulting in him not believing in god at all. But I not agree with langston for not beliveving in jesus am not christian, I am hindu so i think god can help us in anyway anytime they are with us always we can’t see god but they always there when we need him . And all what things happen with us its for a reason if it is bad or good.  If you are disappoinment by god so he has  other big plan for you so just be clam and follow your dream it will come true one day . When I was in 7 standard i was also dreaming to study in usa and now its happining. In “Araby” the narrator was in love with the girl and other all things he can’t see light all he saws dark things .when he saw his girl he can see light so he was in love with the girl . I also have crush on girl of class 8 when i was in class 7 but, I never told her that because I know she will never accept it.I was so obsessed with her I always stak her on instagram when i want to see her. I just want to talk to her but it never happen.

The story “The handsomest Drowned man” it is a very good story by “Gabriel Garcia marquez”. In this story author is describing a fishing village and  one day some handsome long man drowned to that village he was dead they were very curious to watch him they clean is body and taking care of the body and they don’t have space in there house but steal they want to make big house for him.In this cruial world the good people are also there we can say that by people are taking care of the dead man. I think professor has given this reading for the first week because for the understanding of figure and hope . After that the lady was so obessed with the esteban and want to change the surrounding for  him.so from this we can learn that we have to change for people and we have to always help them in any situation.
