Most people argue that fairy tale are problematic and not good for children. However, I believe that people see what they want to see and it all depends on perspectives. Personally for me, cinderella was a kind soul and a hardworking character and all she wanted was to go to the ball. She never went there in the hopes that she will talk to the prince let alone marrying him. The topic for my Research essay is “Fairy Tales are Myths.” I decided to write on this topic because I feel like there are various kinds of fairy tales, not just about princesses waiting for their prince charming. I believe that we should be open different fairy tale genre and their moral vales. I would also love to add some points on childhood development. How a child is being affected mentally, physically and socially. Honestly, ever since I was little I have never read a fairy tale book but before writing this discussion I’ve for the first time watched the cinderella movie, read about little red riding hood and read some reddit post on fairy tales.

Doma, I like your title. I’m so glad to hear that a whole new genre of literature has opened up to you. Another quite frightening fairy tale is “Hansel and Gretel,” which explores issues of abandonment, inadequate parents, and children finding ways to survive. I think your ideas will sharpen and come into more focus as you continue your research.
wow ouu,I love your main point “Fairy tales are myths”! I agree this is a great start to argue and would perfectly fit with the story of Cinderella as many young girls love hearing/reading this short story but don’t realize the meaning behind it. Our society needs to hear our opinions and thoughts about how negative fairy tales can be for young children and their development.
Fantastic title choice. I also similarly plan to add different points around child development. Many people have varied perspectives on what a fairy tales actual importance are, especially to young and impressionable children. Many children across the world have consumed fairy tales, either through having read it within a book, Watching the movie, toys, etc. It’s vital that parents of young children understand the effects these fairy tales can have, both the good and the bad, reflecting on the positives that can be beneficial, and the negatives that be detrimental to a child’s early development.
