Hello my name is Ahmad Deedat, I am a junior at Hunter College and I am currently majoring in computer science. I am taking this course through an epermit, which allows me to take a class from any other CUNY, which is a really convenient system. I am excited to take this course and connect with my classmates and I believe that together we can learn a lot. My goal is not just to do well in the class, but to excel. I am also keen on improving my writing skills. Outside the academic sphere, my passion for photography serves as an artistic outlet, allowing me to encapsulate the essence of fleeting moments. I also love exploring new places and ideas, whether through travel or learning new things. I am excited about this new phase of learning and personal growth, where I can bring together friendships, skill-building, and my passions.

Hi my name is Diamond Jefferson i am 19 and I attend BMCC for business i want to be an entrepreneur as i get older . I live in brooklyn NY bedstuy .My favorite color is pink and i am a very down to earth person.I am excited about this class because i want to improve my writing . I live in brooklyn NY bedstuy ,my favorite artists are the weeknd and summer walker .I love music and i love to be outside enjoying nature . One fact about is that i have social anxiety.I believe it’s from the isolation from the pandemic but i am trying to improve my skills and talk more .

This is my  first Sem in Bmcc and I am very excited to learn new things here and this my second Sem in USA .Before Bmcc ,I was in Boston university so from there I transfer here   I love to play sports and my favorite sport is cricket ,I was playing for my state in my country .This is my second English class ,so I also like Literature very much and I can give new ideas in this class .

Hello. My name Is Xitlally Bravo. People say Lilly to make things simple on themselves. I despise it when people mispronounce my name, but I understand it’s not their fault. I’m a really pleasant, outgoing and straightforward person that prefers to work alone yet gets along well with new individuals. Im a Bit slow because of my ADHD and Epilepsy but I manage to catch up!

Hello guys my name is Stephanie Flores, This is my second semester at bmcc-majoring in early childhood education. During my free time what I like to do is go on a run or head to the gym to clear off my mindset since I’m always either in school or working at my local job. Weekends are times when I enjoy days with my family or friends exploring new places or repeated places in NYC. My favorite spot in NYC has to be Chinatown because it has so many things to eat and see. I am very excited overall about our Eng class course, and I hope to learn and develop new ideas…I feel that I can contribute to this course by responding to our discussion boards & reading/commenting on others.

Hello, my name is Doma Gurung. I was born in Nepal and raised in India. I moved to the US almost 2 years ago. I live in Brooklyn, New York. Currently, I’m taking my nursing prerequisite classes and also working part time as a Nanny. Being a nanny is not hard but not that easy, I have to take my kids to the library a lot by that I mean EVERY single day. Even though I read a bunch of kids book every single day but I also enjoy reading novels and mangas. I like watching horror movies and listening to podcasts. As you may have already guessed I’m not that good at writing but I still try my best to make sense when I’m writing something. I think this course will help me enhance my writing as well as reading skills. I look forward to learning from everyone. Thank you.

Hello,My name is Daisy Gonzalez and Im majoring in psychology. This is my second semester here at BMCC and Im kinda nervous on the start of the course already. I just really hope to succeed the class and better out my writing formats. Some interesting things about me is my love for coffee and my adventurous life with my fur baby named simba. I fell that I can contribute to this course by answering all the discussion boards and engaging with my peers responses.

Hello all, my name is Yuki Ichiki. I’m from Japan. I grew up in Tokyo. When I was a sophomore in high school, I moved from Japan to a high school in the United States. I’m currently majoring in computer science and this is my second year at BMCC.When I graduate from Borough of Manhattan Community College next year, I plan to transfer to my fourth-year university. For me, I feel that this class is very conducive to my own growth. And I interested to see and listen to people’s opinions and papers, so I believe I can contribute. To be honest, I’m not good at listening or writing, but I would be happy if we could improve each other.

I believe I can provide to this course by having a unique and passionate way of thinking and expression. In literature, I believe there is no right or wrong answer. It is more or less of a good argument and how you can support it.

Hello, my name is Melvin, or you can call me Mel. I am 20 years old born and raised in Brooklyn New York. I am a BMCC student majoring in Liberal Arts but might change to Computer Science in the near future. I live in an apartment of 5 including me with my mom, dad, big sister, and little brother. The main things I like to do nearly everyday are play/watch basketball, go to the gym, listen to music, and play video games. The way I can contribute in this course is by understanding and doing the work to the best of my ability, even if I get stuck on something. I hope we all have a nice and smooth semester!

Hello my name is Idalmi Abreu, I was born and raised in Dominican Republic. I’m fluent in spanish (reading, writing, speaking and listening). I have now 6 years living in the US and I’m fluent in english as well. I’m majoring in Science for health and the. transfer to a 4 years college to pursue my nursing bachelor degree. Something interest about me is that I like to travel and spend time trying new things like visiting museums, parks etc… I can contribute to this class because I don’t read very often, sometimes because of laziness and  this is literature class and I feel that it will help me to have more passion for reading and try my best. I hope I can have the best experience out of this class and increase my reading skills.

-my mager is video arts & technology I like art and wanna do architect because I feel like I have what it takes and would also like to do construction to experience and be Abel to do both as a Business owner. -I also like sports mainly soccer I used to play for a team but due to work and school I barely have time but hopefully I I could get to it soon. -what I hope to get out of this class is to learn something new that I could use in the outside world and to also pass this class and not “STRESS”

Hi! My name is Citlali Ramos, but I also go by Cece if my name is too hard to pronounce. However, I do appreciate being called by my actual name. As a child my mother would consistently take me to the library multiple times a week and we would check out a variety of books of different genres to read together. Since then I’ve had a deep love for reading and anything literature. Although I am a science major, any literary classes I take are usually my favorite of the semester. Since I do love reading and occasionally writing I look forward to reading, and listening to my peers opinions. I find it creates a deeper understanding of a topic when there are multiple point of views contributing to a conversation. That being said I feel I can contribute to the class by sharing my opinions as well as receiving constructive criticism on my work.

Hello, my name is Angel Jimenez. I am from the Dominican Republic. I speak fluent Spanish. This is my third semester at Borough of Manhattan Community College. I am majoring in Business administration, and after I finish my associate degree at BMCC. I am thinking of going to Baruch College or Lehman College to pursue a bachelor’s degree, maybe in business administration or marketing. Furthermore, I am still undecided. Something interesting for me is how I can imagine the scenarios in the book that I am reading. I feel this will be a big contribution to the course because this is a literature English class. A fun fact about me is that I am bad at writing in Spanish and English, but I like to read books, comics, and mangas. I hope this class exceeds my expectations and helps me find good books to read and also strengthen my writing skills.
