Welcome to English 201

I am excited to meet you and share with you these wonderful texts.

This semester we will be reading, writing and discussing fiction, drama and poetry. The theme of this semester will be “DIVERSITY”

We will be reading Kate Chopin, Guy de Maupassant, James Joyce, Jamaica Kincaid, Sandra Cisneros, John Patrick Shanley, Gabrielle Brooks.

In this class you will have three main essays on the Elements of either Fiction, Drama and Poetry, and one final paper. As well as writing essays you will have other options to express your ideas. You may use audio, visual or performance as well.

Every voice is important. Participation is key! Please be prepared to share your ideas.
