My definition of Feminism is an opinion and a belief that everyone should have equal rights, both genders deserve equal rights in politics, economic and opportunities. Feminism is about respect for both genders, knowledge, identities and strengths even though we all carry difference, equality should be the same among all. In modern society men thinks they’re more important or better and giving more opportunities, but feminism challenges that idea. I am a feminist, and a lot of others are too, but Many females are not feminists because they’re fine with not being treated as equals as long as they get taken care of. Some men don’t understand what it means to be a feminists, they confuse the meaning thinking being a feminist only involves females but the bigger picture of being a feminist is realizing all genders deserve all equal rights.

In the Ted- talk “we all should be feminists” by Chimaanda Ngozi Adichie talks about her definition in Feminism and how people not being a feminist effect her life negatively, how she didn’t get recognized or treated the same as a man because she’s a female like the car situation where she tipped the driver and instead of the driver saying thank you to her, he said to her male friend thinking whatever money she had was coming from him or the classroom situation where she has the highest grade on a test but because she was girl she couldn’t be the classroom snitch so it went to the person who had the second highest grade which was a male. Her definition was “A feminist is a man or a woman who says – “Yes, there’s a problem with gender as it is today, and we must fix it. We must do better.”( Page 10). This shows that Both Men and female can make an change in equality for both genders not just one gender, feminism was never about just females but about equality for both genders. She thinks there is a problem, and there is.
